Organisation of SANYO Component Europe

The Mobile Energy Division of SANYO Component Europe provides mobile energy in form of batteries to companies and consumers throughout Europe. The product porfolio includes primary and rechargeable batteries in form of single battery-cells or customer-specific battery packs. Among the customers one can find manufacturers of mobile phones, laptops, power tools, and other cordless household devices from shavers or tooth brushes to garden tools. But SANYO batteries can also be found in application where electric power supply indepen- dent from the mains is required. Examples are emergency lights or electric meters. A very special type of batteries is currently under development in co-operation with several european car manufacturers:  Batteries for Hybrid Electric Vehicles. 

Most of these batteries for industrial OEM customers consist of several indivi- dual battery-cells, which are assembled into a so-called battery packs. These battery-packs are designed by SANYO Component in tight co-operation with the customer to meet the expected performance. The actual production of these battery packs is done at subcontractor assembly factories in Czech Republic, and Hungary.

Besides the industrial batteries SANYO Component sells also a whole range of primary and rechargeable batteries for the Retail-market. The most prominent product in this category is for sure the eneloop rechargeable battery.  

The Mobile Energy Division of SANYO Component Europe consists again of four divisions: The Sales Division with OEM- and Retail Sales departments, the Supply Chain Management Division with Internal Sales, Purchasing and Logistic depart- ments, the Technical CRM Divison with departments for electrical and mechanical design and last but not least the Operation Division with the Quality Assurance department, the sourcing department and the Subcontractor Management department.

In the General Affairs Division all functions are combined, which are common to all divisions of SANYO Component Europe. This includes the Finance department, the Human Ressources and Legal department, the IT-department, the Administration department and the Marcom and PR-department. The aim of this division is to ensure a smooth operation of the whole company and support all other divisions in achieving their business targets.
