We understand Research & Development activity as a basic requirement for creating original technology and establishing highest quality batteries to customers of SANYO Electric Co. all over the world.

Since 2001 our scientists of the R&D group work at the Munich headquarters in order to open European know how to SANYO Electric Co. Japan. They trustfully cooperate and communicate with:

• European Universities and Research Institutions
• European Companies providing latest technology for highest-level battery performance and manufacturing
• Our global company partners

Our R&D group especially investigates new materials that improve the product performance of Lithium Ion Batteries

The continuous research work in the Munich materials test-laboratory ensures an effective and fruitful feedback loop between our European partners and SANYO's battery research center in Japan.
