Product Guarantee Extended to Five Years for New Modules
European-specification HIP-NKHE5 Series
SANYO Component Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co. Ltd., today announces that it will be extending the product guarantee to 5 years for products in the new European specification HIP-NKE5 series which are due to become available at the start of July. Until now, the product guarantee has been 2 years. As the European Feed-In-Tariff subsidy system undergoes an expansion into several new countries, the requirement for reliable modules with a longer product guarantee becomes stronger. SANYO is increasing its product guarantee to 5 years in response to this trend.
This year, SANYO Component Europe GmbH celebrates its 5th year for marketing solar modules in Europe and is pleased to announce shipment reaching a total of 1.4 million pieces. Having recently achieved 23% cell energy conversion efficiency at R&D level, SANYO will advance its efforts to apply this research-level achievement into mass production as early as possible.
